Law Day 2014 Dream Team Receives ABA Outstanding Activity Award

SABA-GA is proud to announce that Law Day 2014 Dream Team has won an ABA Outstanding Activity Award (a second consecutive win). For the 3rd year, SABA-GA co-sponsored Law Day 2014 at the State Bar of Georgia. This year’s program was held in collaboration with Atlanta Public School System and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, focusing on the importance of having and exercising our right to vote. More than 250 high school students from 11 Atlanta Public Schools participated in this year’s program, and we even had participation through teleconference in Savannah and Tifton!

As a bit of background, Law Day was established in 1958 by President Dwight Eisenhower to mark the nation’s commitment to the rule of law. Next year’s theme is the 800th anniversary of the sealing of the Magna Carta.

If you are interested in volunteering for Law Day 2015, please email Ritu Verma at rverma@kppblaw.com.
